Retko was established in 1982, starting out predominantly as a linehaul operator to the freight forwarding industry. Since its inception Retko has grown considerably, with the company’s direction shifting from providing linehaul services between Auckland and Wellington for other Freight Forwarders, to now providing a comprehensive nationwide freight solution throughout the country for a diverse range of industries.

Throughout its history Retko have gained a reputation for being able to provide not only an excellent service at very competitive rates for general and dangerous goods freight movements, but have proven to be a true leader in the industry for providing freight service’s for “special projects”. These services include anything from after hour pickups and deliveries, to special point-to-point runs anywhere in the country. With our strong emphasis on providing a personal service, something often lacking in modern business, and with a focus on developing an intimate understanding of our clients needs, Retko subsequently enjoy a large number of long lasting relationships with our clients.

Retko is proud to be a New Zealand owned company with the shareholders being not only heavily involved in the day to day running of the business but also being situated in the key locations throughout the country in Auckland, Wellington and the South Island.
